A HAMPSHIRE teenager has been named has one of the semi-finalists for this year’s Miss Teen Great Britain competition.
Alice Cutler has won a place in the semi-final after beating competition from across the country.
The contest, which has categories for girls aged 11-19, was created to be a positive and confidence-building experience for participants.
It offers teenagers the chance to take part in a competition that combines glamour and celebrating their success and achievements.
Alice is currently studying for her A levels at Ringwood School and also works part time as a lifeguard.
The 18-year-old from Ringwood who hopes to go on to study law at university, said: “Being chosen as a semi finalist for this competition is such an honour. I have always loved taking part in events where I can raise money for charity and help develop awareness of great causes, and this is the perfect opportunity.
“I am so excited to have made it to the semi-finals, as the selection process was really tough. This is such a great achievement for me.
“Making it to the grand final would be a dream come true, so fingers crossed I will be able to represent Ringwood and Hampshire and bring the Miss Teen Great Britain crown south.”
Alice will also be taking part in a sponsored five-mile swim to raise money for the charity Together for Short Lives, and she plans to organise other charity events throughout the summer, including a sweet sale as she takes part in the competition.
The winner of the crown and £1,000 cash prize will be announced at the grand final in October.
