Fallen tree blocks railway line
A FALLEN tree is causing delays on a busy Hampshire railway line.
At about 11.30am a tree fell on the line at Netley, blocking trains travelling between Southampton and Fareham.
A South West Trains statement said: “Due to a fallen tree the line between Southampton Central and Fareham stations is currently blocked at Netley.
“Disruption is expected.”
The debris has now been cleared from the track but delays are still expected and railway users are urged to check up-to-date timetables before travelling.
