A WOMAN has been rushed to hospital after a car overturned on a main road.
The westbound carriageway of the A31 is blocked as a result of the collision, reported to police at 1.13pm, and there are long delays back to Picket Post.
Paramedics and police officers are at the scene, which is believed to be after the Verwood/Matchams turn off, after the petrol station.
A Renault Clio is on its side close to the central reservation. Other vehicles are thought to be involved. South West Ambulance service said they were called at 1.13pm to a car that had rolled over.
There are believed to be two casualties, but the extent of their injuries is unknown at present.
A spokesperson from Dorset Police said: “A woman has been removed from the car on a spinal board.”
Recovery is needed for the Clio involved.
The A338 is also blocked northbound after a three-car crash which happened at 1.41pm, about 100m before the Ashley Heath roundabout.
Two people have been removed from their cars on stretchers, and a spokesperson from South Western Ambulance Service confirmed one casualty is being treated for a neck injury.
There are reports of three-mile queues on the A31 and delays on the A338 north and southbound.
