A CO-OPERATIVE pharmacy in Southampton is set to reopen under a new name and its new owners are looking for “community heroes” to take part in its official opening.
The pharmacy in Thornhill be be rebranded as a Well outlet following the Bestway Group’s £620m deal to take on 780 Co-Operative pharmacies.
The new pharmacy will open later this year and the new branding is set to go up at the site in Hinkler Road over the coming weeks.
Nikesh Patel, regional manager for Well in Southampton said: “We are extremely excited to unveil the new look pharmacy and our branch colleagues are looking forward to providing personalised health and wellbeing services as they continue to serve the community in Southampton.
“We recognise that many of our customers are tireless in their efforts to support the community, which is why we want to celebrate their work and invite an unsung hero to our grand opening.”
Local people are being asked to recommend people in the community who have made exceptional achievements or are unsung heroes for the work they do.
Anyone wanting to suggest a “local hero” should email wellheroes@havasww.com or write to Well Heroes, c/o Havas PR, 52 Princess Street, Manchester, M1 6JX by September 20.
