SCORES of keen golfers descended on a Hampshire club to raise money for charity.
The fundraising day at East Horton Golf Club featured players fighting it out for a winner trophy and raised more than £1,200 for Age UK Southampton through ticket sales, hole sponsorship, and refreshments.
Peter Bennie, chief officer at Age UK Southampton, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Old Mutual Wealth for selecting Age UK Southampton as the nominated charity for their annual golf day.
“We rely on local support to enable us to improve the quality o life for the city’s older people.
“Raising £1,270 is a fantastic achievement and couldn’t have been done without their superb organisation and the support of local companies who have submitted teams or sponsored different holes for the event.”
