A NEW Forest actor who played an Ewok in a Star Wars film has died aged 95.
Ronald Phillips, who was 4ft 6in, died in Lymington following a series of falls.
Mr Phillips, a former engineer, played an Ewok in The Return of the Jedi film in 1983. His short height was attributed to a damaged pituitary gland in childhood.
He was also fitted with a pacemaker and was one of the first patients to receive treatment at the new Lymington New Forest Hospital when he was admitted to help him recuperate following a fall in December.
