HUNDREDS of people stocked up on garden plants at a fair held in the grounds of an historic Hampshire ruin.

An estimated 2,000 people attended the fourth annual Bishop's Waltham Garden Fair held in the grounds of the medieval palace.

Some 60 stalls sold an assortment of plants and gardening goods. Proceeds went to St John Ambulance.

A jazz band created a garden party feel to the event, which is now firmly established in the local spring calendar.
