FIRE crews have helped a cow stuck in mud in the New Forest.
Firefighters and animal rescue specialists were called to the scene off Southampton Road, Godshill, near Fordingbridge just after 10.50am where the three-year-old Aberdeen Angus cow had got stuck.
They managed to lift her out with a winch.
The nearby Sandy Balls Holiday Village provided a tractor to help in the operation.
After being freed the animal, which was sedated while being freed, was put in a dry shed and is expected to make a full recovery.
A crew from Fordingbridge and the animal rescue team from Lyndhurst attended.
