NEW parking and waiting restrictions are set to come to a Hampshire village to solve car parking problems.
It comes after residents in Shawford near Winchester called for more action to be taken on the issue As reported in the Daily Echo villagers responded to a survey by Shawford Village Residents’ Association (SVRA).
Parking problems have been created by an increase in commuter and visitor parking, with many cars parked on Shawford Hill, Shawford Road and Pearson Lane.
Winchester City Council has decided to introduce new parking and waiting restrictions on these roads to tackle the issue.
