A TEACHER is among 200 members of staff struck off in the past two years after asking a pupil if her boyfriend had raped her and placing sweets on a female pupil's breasts.

Graham Stuart asked a pupil if her boyfriend had raped her, and said that she "should never be alone with her boyfriend".

The National College for Teaching and Leadership panel also heard how he offered a lift in his car to a pupil, provided it was kept secret.

He met two pupils outside of school and gave them sweets from his car.

The 47-year-old, a former teacher at the Priory School on the Isle of Wight, also used inappropriate language in the presence of pupils by placing sweets on a female pupil's breasts and/or created shapes resembling genitalia with them.

He was banned from teaching for at least three years.
