FIRE crews are tackling a blaze at a cottage this morning.
Villagers saw smoke pouring out of the back of the property in Ringwood Road, Burley Street, in the New Forest, and raised the alarm.
One witness said: “There was a lot of smoke and I imagine the fire has caused quite a bit of damage.”
A Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the blaze broke out on the first floor of the two-storey building.
He added that two fire crews from Ringwood had been joined by colleagues from Burley and New Milton.
No-one was in the cottage when the blaze broke out just before 8am.
