A 'MILITARY training operation' is going to take place in Southampton.
The disused Bargate Shopping Centre in the city is being used for what Hampshire Constabulary have described as 'joint civilian/military training' in the coming months, with the first event being held today.
The exact nature of the operations have not been revealed, but members of the public have been told to " not be alarmed should they become aware of unfamiliar sounds or activity inside the building during these short exercise periods."
As recently reported by the Daily Echo, an urban explorer recently climbed inside the disused shopping centre and took a video detailing his exploits.
The centre has been bought and sold a number of times and currently plans are afoot for homes and shops on the site.
However, exact nature of any plans are not yet known.
