A TEENAGE boy was stabbed as a gang of burglars forced their way into a flat.
The incident happened at an address in Lydgate Road in the Thornhill area of Southampton.
Four young men forced their way into a flat and assaulted the 17-year-old from London.
He was taken to hospital with puncture wounds to his left thigh, but it is not known what was used to inflict the injury.
He has since been discharged.
A 48-year-old man was also in the flat at the same time but was unharmed.
The gang did not take anything. One of them is described as wearing an electric blue jacket.
Extra patrols have been taking place today as police looked to reassure residents and undertake further enquiries.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary are now asking for any witnesses to the aggravated burglary - which happened shortly before 7am on Saturday - to come forward and contact DC Keith Evans on 101 or via the force's website.
