A driver has been charged after 14 people were hurt when a car ploughed into a party being held in marquee in Hampshire.
The incident, which took place last October at Dene Farm in Nether Wallop, and resulted in eight of those injured being taken to hospital.
The crash occurred around 11pm when a car came crashing through the marquee, which was being used to host a private party.
Three patients were taken to Salisbury District Hospital, two to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, in Winchester, one to the North Hampshire Hospital, in Basingstoke, and two were taken to Southampton General Hospital.
Six months later following a police investigation a man has been charged.
Police investigating the incident on October 3 have charged a 66-year-old man from Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Peter Bialek, 66, of London Road, Salisbury, has been charged with three counts of wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.
He has also been charged with causing bodily harm by wanton/furious driving.
He appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court yesterday and was bailed to appear at the same court on Tuesday, April 19.
