FAMILIES in Southampton enjoyed a cracking time at an Easter family fun day.
People braved the rain and Storm Katie winds to head to St James Park, Shirley, for the annual Easter EGGStravORGANza.
Some of the usual attractions at yesterday’s event had to be cancelled due to the bad weather.
But youngsters were still able to enjoy music from some of the fairground organs, steam traction engine rides and games put on for entertainment by the Friends of St James’ Park (FoSJP).
It was also the climax of a separate Easter Egg hunt held by FoSJP where children picked up trail sheets from the ParkLife Cafe and searched for chocolates hidden around the park grounds.
People could also enjoy refreshments from the cafe.
