A BRAND new £65,000 boat has been stolen from a Hampshire club that helps disabled people learn to waterski.

Thieves took the Centurion Carbon Pro from Ellingham Waterski and Wakeboard Club near Ringwood on Monday night.

Supporters of the club have taken to social media top condemn the thieves.

Phill Carpenter said: “I’m speechless. It’s totally despicable.”

The club welcomes amputees, people who are visually impaired and wheelchair users, plus those with learning difficulties.

Its website says: “Our aim is to introduce newcomers to the sport of water skiing who, due to their disability would not have previously considered the sport accessible.

"Amputees, blind, deaf, sufferers of partial paralysis, paraplegic other wheelchair users, people with Multiple Sclerosis and those with learning disabilities have all graduated from the British Disabled Water Ski & Wakeboard Association.

“So, forget the restrictions of land and leave your disability behind and feel the freedom of the water.”

The club provides expert support, specialist assistive equipment and guidance from fully qualified instructors, enabling people to learn to water ski, whatever their disability.
