Police are now in a position to name the motorist who died following a road collision in Hampshire.

Oliver Walton, of Beach Road, Southsea, was the driver of a silver Vauxhall Astra which collided with a barrier on the A3(M) northbound at 5.45am in Waterlooville on Tuesday.

The 25-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital but died a short time later.

Officers are continuing to investigate the exact circumstances of the collision and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw the vehicle prior to the incident.
