THE Red Arrows will be returning to Hampshire for a special flyover tomorrow.

To help kick off the America’s Cup the RAF Red Arrows will be performing a flyover across the Solent.

The flyover has been organised as part of the Louis Vuitton America’s Cup World Series and will see one of the world’s best aerobatic displays come to the county.

The Cup is being hosted in Portsmouth across the seafront and will see thousands of people attend to see the best sailors in the world compete on a racing circuit in 45ft catamarans.

It’s the second year in a row that Portsmouth will be hosting the competition and this year organisers have also booked the Red Arrows.

They will bring their distinctive nine red Hawk jets to the city for a flyover tomorrow at  noon, flying in tight formation as they fill the sky with plumes of coloured smoke.

They’re not the only air show to take place as part of the Cup series either as The Blades acrobatic display team will be performing on Saturday from 12pm.

They will hold a display with four high performance planes flown by former RAF fast-jet pilots performing a routine that includes over 30 manoeuvres and features plenty of close-crosses and heart-stopping dives.

The displays continue on Sunday with the Red Bull ‘Matadors’ with two modern acrobatic performing in a creative show packed with stunts before the racing starts.
