A GROUP of youngsters from Southampton have had the chance to experience life as published authors.
Teenagers from The Sholing Technology College held a book signing for their work, published by a national company.
The hardworking students were presented with their books after taking part in a creative writing workshop this summer.
It comes after the Chocolate Muffin Publishing Company launched the workshop to get schoolchildren interested in writing and TSTC had 20 students take part.
They were been presented with a published book and had the chance to be a 'real' author signing copies in front of family and friends.
The literacy co-ordinator at the school, Tamasin Gale, contacted Kate Day from Chocolate Muffin Publishing Company as she wanted to give TSTC students the opportunity to take their writing outside the limitations of the classroom and reach out to real audiences.
