A HAMPSHIRE restaurant opened by cricket legend Ian Botham has been partly closed due to a burst water pipe.
Beefy's, a steak house attached to the Ageas Bowl, has had to turn members of the public away due to damage caused by the burst pipe.
In a message on their website, the restaurant staff warn residents: "Please note, due to the damage caused by a burst water pipe Beefy's is currently only open to hotel residents, with reduced service hours and menus.
"As soon as Beefy's is fully operational this page will be updated with details.
"Regrettably Beefy's Sunday Lunch offering is also not available until further notice.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope to be able to welcome you to Beefy's in the very near future.
"Should you have any queries please call 02382 027097."
No one from the restaurant was available to comment at the time when approached by the Daily Echo.
The restaurant, described as "fine dining" on their website, was the brainchild of Sir Ian Botham, a former England Test cricketer who was nicknamed Beefy.
