A WOMAN had to be freed from her car when it ended up on its side on a Hampshire road.

The motorist was held in place by her seatbelt when her Fiat 500 landed on its side in Nobes Avenue, in Fareham, at about 10pm last night.

Firefighters from Fareham and Gosport fire stations had to cut through the side and back doors of her car in order to free her.

The woman, who was in her early 20s was taken to hospital by South Central Ambulance Service.

It is not believed she suffered any serious injuries.
