THE AMBULANCE service had to employ the help of the fire brigade after one of its vehicles caught fire.
A South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) rapid response vehicle had been attending a medical emergency in Bow Street, Alton this morning, when it burst into flames.
The vehicle had been deployed as back up to the paramedics already on scene.
While there the vehicle caught fire, and left it un-drivable.
A spokesperson for SCAS said that is unclear why the fire started but it did not affect any of the emergency care or injure anyone.
