A MOTORBIKE rider has been rushed to hospital after a crash on a busy Hampshire road this morning.

The male biker was in collision with a black Kia on the A27 at Portchester at 8.30am.

He was treated at the scene for multiple serious injuries before being rushed to Queen Alexandra hospital.

The crash on the mini roundabout close to Cams Hill School which links Portchester Road with Condor Avenue and Oysell Gardens happened at 8.30 this morning.

Two ambulances, a fire engine and police vehicles are on the scene.

A spokeswoman from South Central Ambulance said: "We were called at 8.31 this morning to reports of a road traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and a car.

"We had an ambulance at the scene assessing two patients. One patient was assessed and didn't require hospital treatment.

"A second, believed to be a male, sustained multiple serious injuries and was assessed and treated at the scene by our crew before bring taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital."

A spokeswoman from Hampshire Police added: "We were called to reports of a collision between a car and a motorcycle at the junction of Oysell Gardens close to the roundabout."
