AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a fire ripped through two sheds and damaged several properties.

Two fire engines were called to Treagore Road in Calmore to reports a fire had started in a shed.

Fire crews from Totton and Eastleigh fire stations raced to the scene at 5pm on Wednesday.

A spokesman for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said the blaze had taken hold of two sheds and had spread to a neighbouring garage.

The fire also caused heat damage to three houses in the road.

Firefighters battled the blaze for two hours before it was brought under control.

The fire service has now said they have launched an investigation into what caused the fire.
