THOUSANDS flocked to Mayflower Park last night for one of the biggest fireworks displays in the region.
The Daily Echo once again backed the event that went with a bang.
Organisers Southampton Round Table say they estimated another record breaking year and the money raised from the event would go towards numerous charities and good causes throughout the year.
The fun started at 3pm at Mayflower Park with an all day funfair courtesy of Coles.
This year the fireworks were organised by double world firework champions Pyrotex with the show beginning at 7.45pm.
Organiser Chris Tahmasaby said: "We are once again hoping to have a record breaking year and be able to help many more organisations with the funds raised from the fireworks event."
