PEOPLE in Woolston, Southampton, have objected to plans to convert a family home into shared property.
Michael O’Sullivan wants to turn 40A Swift Road into a house in multiple occupation (HMO).
Jennifer Davis, of Swift Road, said: “The street is a friendly, neighbourly and family orientated street currently and a quiet place to live and I strongly believe that having a HMO on the street would have a negative impact on our way of living.”
Daniel Tudor Williams, of nearby Church Road, argued that the conversion would worsen parking problems in the area.
He said: “With most people being car owners these days and sometimes with multiple cars under one occupancy I really feel this would place unneeded pressure on the shortage of spaces which already exists.”
Southampton City Council must make a decision by December 29.
