BOSSES at a Romsey care home have said they are proud of staff after it was presented with an acclaimed award.

At the recent Hampshire Care Association awards, Greenview Residential Care Home was delighted to receive the accolade of Care Home of the Year.

Greenview's owner, Ian Bradford, was also recognised for his achievements with a new Blue Rose Award. The award is given to a person who has shown total dedication and commitment to care.

Ian has been the owner of the Lockerley care home for 32 years, but for the last two, along with a hard working team of volunteers, he started the dementia festival at Sir Harold Hilliers Gardens and assisted with the launch of dementia initiatives within the town.

Ian said: “The awards are a huge recognition by your peers who know what a difficult job that the staff undertake and for them to achieve this award is a real proud moment for me as the owner of Greenview.

"I have booked a fun day for them at New Forest Outdoor Centre to celebrate,

"I am so delighted with this award - it is a combined effort by the management, staff, suppliers, and everyone associated with us here at Greenview.”
