A DRIVER was dragged out of his car and assaulted in Marchwood in a late-night attack.
A 30-year-old man was parking his car in the early hours of Sunday morning when two unknown men approached the silver Mercedes C220 and demanded the driver to get out, before dragging him from his vehicle.
His car was stolen with the driver sustaining a cut to his head, but he did not need hospital treatment.
Police are appealing for witnesses after launching an investigation into the incident that happened between 5.15am and 5.30am on Sunday morning on Ordnance Way.
PC Rebecca Day said: “We would like to speak to anyone who may have seen two men hanging around the area or who has seen the silver Mercedes since the incident.”
