An inquest ruled a Hampshire man's death as drugs-related.
Glenn Lockey from Ringwood was found in his home on December 19 last year, Winchester Coroner's Court heard.
The 46-year-old, of Ash Grove, had a history of depression and paranoid psychosis, as well as heroin use.
The court heard that at the time of his death Mr Lockey was on a methadone programme to help him quit the drug.
He had missed three prescription pick-ups in the days leading up to his death.
Toxicology results showed morphine in Mr Lockey's blood - a break-down product of heroin - as well as alcohol and methadone.
Central Hampshire coroner Grahame Short recorded a drugs-related death.
