A MAN was caught three times the drug limit when driving down a Southampton road.
Paul Surplice has been convicted for driving whilst under the influence of a cocaine metabolite, on August 13.
The 45-year-old admitted driving a Vauxhall Astra, on Manor Farm Road, with 177 micrograms of benzoylecgonine in 100 litres of blood. The limit is 50 micrograms .
Surplice, of Rownhams Road, North Baddesley, also admitted stealing stationary from WHSmith in Romsey and breaching a conditional discharge - for stealing a can of vodka and lime soda mix.
He was given a 12-week suspended sentence, banned from driving for 30 months and ordered to pay £100 costs and £20.96 compensation by Southampton magistrates.
