Drivers are experience long delays along a major Hampshire route today.
Queues are forming on the A31 and M27 as a result.
There are currently 15-minute delays on the A31 between Ringwood and Stoney Cross westbound, while drivers on the M27 are facing delays of around 20 minutes westbound between the A31/junction 1 for Cadnam and back past junction 3 for the M271.
Police officers are now advising motorists to also avoid the A35 between Ashurst and Lyndhurst westbound (an alternative route across the New Forest) as there are now lengthy delays on that route too.
Lengthy delays on the A35 westbound between Ashurst and Lyndhurst. Very slow moving. Use an alternative route of possible #22223

It is not known what is causing the delays.
