A 38-YEAR-OLD dad hanged himself in a remote part of the New Forest a week after his father’s funeral, an inquest heard.

Landscape gardener Oliver Marsh’s body was discovered by his younger brother after a desperate search, Dorset coroner Rachael Griffin was told.

Mr Marsh, of Albemarle Road, Bournemouth, was reported missing to police by his mother, Gail, on December 7 last year.

A photograph and details of his car were circulated to the media.

The inquest heard his car was noted by automatic number plate recognition cameras the following day but there was no activity on his phone.

Mr Marsh’s brother, Jonathan, found his body at Bolderwood Arboretum in Ornamental Drive, Lyndhurst, on December 10.

The inquest heard Mr Marsh had a history of depression and a verdict of suicide was recorded.
