A HUNT has been launched for two men after a woman was sexually assaulted in a late-night attack in Southampton.

The 21-year-old victim was approached by two men when she was walking along London Road at 11.30pm on Wednesday.

Police say two men approached her and then forced their hands underneath her dress.

The woman then ran away in the direction of Lodge Road and down towards Portswood Road.

Following the incident, the men followed the victim and were seen getting out of a black car near Champagne Charlies in Portswood Road.

The men are described as Asian males and one is five feet six inches tall with short black hair with a dark beard and a foreign accent.

The other is described as being taller than five feet and six inches and was wearing a green top with a white collar.

The police would like to speak to anyone who was in the vicinity of The Avenue or Lodge Road on Wednesday night or who may have witnessed the incident.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said: "Did you see a woman running in this direction or see the men either on foot or in a black vehicle?

"Hampshire police are particularly keen to speak to anyone who was approached by this woman around this time.

"Did she approach you and ask for help?

"Furthermore, if you live on any of these roads and have private CCTV which may have captured this incident, contact the police. "
