STAFF at a Southampton house building company raise thousands for charity.
Barratt Homes Southampton participated in the Hope Challenge, a unique fundraising event organised by Habitat for Humanity, raising almost £9,400.
The team, consisting of Stuart Goodwill, Aaron Wright, Luke Crossley and Stacey Drew, competed against other housebuilders to design and build their own sustainable shelter to sleep in for two nights.
The team decided to construct their shelter out of recycled plastic bottles.
The team, were judged by their innovativeness and originality, they came second, raising a total of £9,394 for the charity.
The event, held at the Peak District, also involved a 15 – 20km trek through Hope Valley
where teams engaged in a series of mental and physical challenges.
