FROM Millbrook to the White House, Donald Trump's election has changed the life of one of Southampton's own stars.

Mike Osman, who still lives just minutes from where he grew up in the city, has gone global with his parody of the President, appearing on TV shows, being booked for major events and getting requests for his time from around the world.

Now he's set to tread the boards with his latest creation as Mike Osman Trumped takes to the stage at Mayflower Theatre this December.

Launching the show in full Trump regalia, including comedy comb-over, a tan worthy of TOWIE and his mannerisms down to a tee, Mike stopped traffic on Commercial Road.

He told the Daily Echo: "He's probably the most hated man on the planet and he's definitely the most famous man on the planet. He's so divisive, but everyone wants their picture taken with him! The only thing I can liken it to is it's like being Mickey Mouse at Disney. It really is incredible.

"I've been on TV six times since March and we've turned a couple of appearances down. That would never have happened in my normal life, so it does feel like he's given me a new lease of life, a new career.

"He is just the gift that keeps on giving. He's given me so much and every day he does something crazy you're not expecting. It just works."

As a renowned impressionist, Mike Osman is no stranger to performing in a host of different roles. He’s taken on Prince Charles, the Trotter brothers, Sir Bruce Forsyth and his great pal Chris Tarrant, as well as Saints fans favourites Lawrie McMenemy and his famous Channon and Ball.

His latest Mayflower show, which replaces Jasper Carrott's postponed show as the comic undergoes major heart surgery, will take place on Sunday December 3.

The first act will be all Donald Trump, with a special appearance from lifelike puppet Donald Trump Jr, and the second act will be a host of other new impressions, which, for now, remain a closely guarded secret.

"There will be lots of locker room humour," Mike adds. "But nothing quite as offensive as things Donald Trump regularly says and does!"

Tickets are on sale now from mayflower.org.uk or 023 8071 1811.
