It was a much needed win for Saints ahead of their Premier League opener against Swansea next weekend.
The first goal came after a first-half corner reached Jack Stephens six yards out. He produced a side footed finish which appeared to take a deflection before finding the back of the net.
The next came during a spell of slick passing football from Saints in the second-half
Tadic's ball found Davis who produced a lovely flick of a touch to turn the ball on to Gabbiadini slammed it home with a clinical low finish.
Chief photographer Stuart Martin was at St Mary's Stadium to capture all of the action - so be sure to check out the pictures above.
