POLICE have launched a search for a man after a burglary in Southampton.
A bank card, which was reported as stolen following a burglary in the Polygon area of the city on Wednesday, August 16, was used later that day in the Sainsbury's store in Bedford place.
The bank card was used between 7.30pm and 8.30pm and as part of their investigation Hampshire Constabulary have now released a CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident.
He is described as a white man, who was wearing a grey and turquoise jacket, a turquoise t-shirt, red shorts and grey trainers with pink laces. He had sunglasses on his head and was carrying a black backpack.
PC Kimberly Duncan, of the Western Investigation Team, said: “Did you see this man in the store around this time or do you know who he is?
“If you think you know this man or have any other information that might be able to assist us, please contact us on 101.”
