PIERS MORGAN has offered to pay Wayne Shaw’s fine after the Totton-based 'roly-poly goalie' was found guilty of breaching FA betting rules.
Shaw was fined £375 and suspended for two months following an Independent Regulatory Commission hearing yesterday after famously eating a pie during Sutton United’s FA Cup tie against Arsenal last season.
It was alleged he had intentionally influenced betting markets after a bookmaker had offered odds of 8-1 that he would eat a pie on camera.
How ridiculous. I will pay your fine @wayneshaw70. https://t.co/ibw89WWGl4

Shaw, 45, denied the charge and outspoken TV presenter Morgan is one of many who have rushed to the big man’s defence.
Morgan, an Arsenal fan, tweeted: “How ridiculous. I will pay your fine @wayneshaw70.”
Shaw responded with: “Thank you for the kind offer Piers. Hope it’s not Pie in the Sky.”
Back came Morgan with: “Haha. Consider it done, Wayne. I refuse to let you pay the price for football losing its sense of humour.”
