A HAMPSHIRE man died suddenly after returning from a bike ride, an inquest heard.
Winchester Coroner’s Court heard how James Lyell, 56, collapsed and fell at his home after his daughter, who was in another room, heard him scream out in pain.
Coroner Grahame Short said: “On the balance of probability, it was a cardiac event which caused him to lose consciousness and fall.”
The inquest heard how Mr Lyell, from Monarch Way in Winchester, had a family history of heart problems and that he was taking regular medication.
Mr Short recorded a verdict of death due to natural causes.
