AMONG the cases recently heard at Southampton Magistrates’ Court were:

LOUISA ANNE BINKS, 45, of Orchards Way, West End. Found guilty of assault. Committed to prison for eight weeks suspended for 12 months. A restraining order was made. Victim surcharge of £115 with £85 costs.

KENNETH THOMAS ORCHARD, 43, of Montague Avenue, Southampton. Found guilty of fraud by attempting to gain a £93 refund on a gift card at Debenhams. £50 costs with £20 victim surcharge.

RYAN JAMES KENDALL, 24, of Carnation Road, Southampton. Found guilty of drink driving. Fined £120 with £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Kendall was disqualified from driving for 17 months.

JACK MICHAEL JAMES SHELLEY, 24, of Hadley Fields, Holbury. Found guilty of drink driving. Fined £400 with £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 17 months.

DANIEL LUKE BELLOWS, 28, of Berrywood Gardens, Hedge End. Found guilty of drink driving. Fined £120 with £30 victim surcharge and £45 costs. Disqualified from driving for 17 months.

AARON SHAUN FOLAN, 35, of The Acorns, Bursledon. Found guilty of stealing two laser measures, cable and disc cutters. Jailed for 16 weeks suspended for 12 months. A community order was made with an unpaid work requirement, plus an £85 victim surcharge.

LUKAS WILLIAM MICHAEL FUDGE, 32, of Irving Road, Southampton. Found guilty of stealing 11 bottles of fabric softener. Discharged conditionally for 12 months with £20 victim surcharge and £170 costs.

LIAM JAMES IGO, 39, of John Thornycroft Road, Southampton. Found guilty of assault. Fined £166 with £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

ERNESTAS STURONAS, 26, of Bitterne Road West, Southampton. Found guilty of drink driving. Fined £266 with £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

KERRY ZABIELA, 31, of Burgoyne Road, Thornhill. Found guilty of stealing chocolate from Poundland. A community order was made, including a drug rehabilitation requirement.

JUNIOR CLEVERLEY, 19, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton. Found guilty of carrying a knife. Committed to prison for eight weeks, with £115 victim surcharge.

DERRICK CRAVEN, 70, of Dales Way, Totton. Found guilty of drink driving. Fined £200 with £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Disqualified from driving for 17 months.

DANIEL MICHAEL FREELAND, 18, of Cumberland Close, Chandler’s Ford. Found guilty of driving under the influence of drugs. A community order was made, with an unpaid work requirement. £85 costs with £85 victim surcharge. Disqualified from driving for 18 months.

BEN ASHLEY BARDELL, 29, Devonshire Gardens, Hythe. Indicated plea of guilty to cannabis possession. Discharged conditionally for six months, with £40 costs and £20 victim surcharge.

MARCIN ZUBOWICZ, 33, of Denzil Avenue, Southampton. Admitted failing to comply with requirements of community order. Fined £250 with £60 costs.

ELI JOHN JAMES, 50, no fixed address. Found guilty of assault. Fined £100 with £50 compensation.

WAYNE DANIEL CULL, 38, of no fixed address. Pleaded guilty to stealing £80 worth of meat from Iceland in Southampton and failing to surrender to custody. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £20 victim surcharge.

OLIVER FRANCIS JAMES WELLS, 30, of Davis Field, New Milton. Pleaded guilty to driving without a licence and found guilty of driving without insurance. Fined £50 and ordered to pay £50 costs and £30 victim surcharge.

MARK ANTHONY MILNE, 42, of Woodlands Way, Bursledon. Pleaded guilty to failing to notify Eastleigh Borough Council about a change in circumstance that would affect housing benefit entitlement. Ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work, pay a £85 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
