HI-VIS was dress code at one Hampshire primary school.
Oakfield Primary School pupils donned neon greens, yellows and pinks for the Be Bright Be Seen Day.
They were also celebrating a special milestone – receiving their bronze school travel plan award from Hampshire County Council (HCC), which recognises the work the school community has done on sustainable travel.
It’s all part of a bid to make it safer and easier for children to walk to school.
Their efforts were rewarded with a visit from councillor David Harrison, who walked with the children along their new air quality trail to their school on Sylvia Close.
There was also a special visit from HCC’s Basil the Bird – a colourful mascot who encourages children and parents to be safe when walking to school – at the event organised by school travel plan champion Sam Cutcliffe.
