A SOUTHAMPTON mother has been left stranded after thieves stole her mobility scooter, just days after she returned home from hospital.
The £2,000 Kymco Maxi XL mobility scooter, was taken from Celia Swain’s Chestnut Road home between noon and 6pm on Friday., December 1.
Her son Wayne Turner said: “It’s her only means of transport,” said Wayne. “She has problems with her joints so uses the scooter to get around.
“She had been in hospital for two weeks before the scooter was stolen. It makes me feel angry that some people can stoop so low to steal her lifeline.”
The scooter is describe as silver/grey in colour with a yellow bag attached to the back of the seat.
Anyone with information is asked to phone police on 101 quoting reference 441704686307.
