FUN fact: a group of pugs is called a grumble.
But there were nothing but happy faces at one Southampton pub when 220 pug-lovers got together for a pop-up event.
The day at London Road Brew House was organised by Dee Bushrod to raise money for The Pug Dog Welfare Group and Homeward Bound Pug Rescue.
With a photo booth and doggy treats on sale there was plenty for everyone, but Ms Bushrod said: “You don’t really need to organise much, people just want to be here with their animals.”
And she insists the breed’s popularity isn’t just a passing fad, with many participants long-time pug lovers.
Mike and Jane Southwell, both 77, from Chandler’s Ford had pugs for 50 years. Mike said: “People I like, dogs I love, and pugs I worship.”
