ONE of the biggest clubbing brands in the world is coming back for more fun in Southampton.

Elrow has become a recognisable worldwide institution since its inception in Barcelona with its high-energy house and dancefloor techno.

Now Switch, on Above Bar Street, is to feature an extravagant, free-spirited party on Friday, March 23.

Based on the concept of the Spanish fiesta, each show is unique and designed around a different theme such as the bright colours of Bollywood or the Brazilian Samba.

Switch Southampton director Ryan Keary said: “We are really excited to bring Elrow back to the city, being chosen as the only club show they are doing this year shows that the club is in a really good place.

"This puts us on the map.

"We have worked closely with the owners for a long time now and secured a serious line up  for these shows.

"This is the start of what’s going to be a pretty special year at Switch."

Milo-Reisz Gervis and Tristan Khan from Elrow, said: “We want to ensure that everyone has an amazing time with our Spanish fiesta rave culture dating back to 1860.

“Switch is an awesome venue.”

Switch are remaining tight-lipped about the line-up for the night itself but Ryan promises some big names that are well known across the global club scene.

Elrow debuted in Southampton last December across two days when Newcastle-born house DJ Patrick Topping, one of the most in-demand names in dance music and resident at Paradise in Ibiza, a club night at DC10 started up by sensational house DJ Jamie Jones, headlined.

House and techno acts including Skream, Hector, Jackmaster, Eats Everything and Richy Ahmed who consistently re-defines the forefront of British house music also made an appearance.

As well as the music, the decor at the events is not to be missed with previous events having included giant mushrooms, sharks, giraffes that tower over the crowds, a rolling pin in pursuit of a cockerel and the trademark yellow Elrow chicken.

Tickets, which are expected to sell fast, go on sale on Sunday at
