POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a group of masked raiders forced their way into a Southampton home.
The incident on January 14 at 11.30pm saw four masked intruders burst into a house on Vanguard Road demanding property, after homeowners answered the door to a woman.
She is described as white, in her early 20s or 30s, 5ft4, pale or malnourished and of slim build.
The group of intruders are also described as white, and wearing dark clothing. One of the people was described as having a chubby build and approximately 6 feet tall.
The group left shortly after entering the home on without stealing anything.
It is believed they may have targeted the wrong address and the people inside were left very shaken but unharmed.
Detective Constable Lee Murden from the Western Investigation Team said: "We believe this group targeted the wrong address, but their intentions were clear.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who can help us identify the people involved.
"We are particularly interested in speaking with anyone who can identify the woman who knocked on the door, do you recognise her description?
"Please get in contact.”
