AN elderly Hampshire woman was killed and her husband seriously injured in a three-car pile-up on the M1.
Pamela and Alfred Wood from New Milton were travelling along the northbound carriageway of the M1, just north of Watford Gap services, when their car collided with two lorries.
Mr Wood had been driving the Renault Modus when it collided with the lorries at midday on Monday.
Mrs Wood, 74, died from her injuries. Mr Wood, 79, was taken to Walsgrave Hospital in Coventry where his condition is described as serious.
