A FAIR Oak nursery is celebrating after it was rated “outstanding” by inspectors.
Wyvern College Childcare has been given the top rating by Ofsted inspectors for the third time in a row.
The childcare provision at Wyvern includes a nursery, a before and after school club and school holiday childcare.
Inspectors praised the effectiveness of the leadership and management, the quality of teaching, personal development and the outcome for children.
They said: " The manager and her staff work exceptionally well together to provide children with an outstanding learning environment. Staff use their key-person role to get to know children's needs extremely well. A culture of respect, warmth and care is evident throughout the nursery and in the after-school club."
They also said staff members have an exemplary relationship with parents and make a significant contribution to outcomes for children.
And added: " Staff have high expectations of children's achievements and continually stretch their
learning to enable children to make the excellent progress of which they are capable.
"They focus exceptionally well on supporting children to use their own ideas in play. This
helps children to be excited, inquisitive and highly motivated learners and supports their ongoing learning in readiness for school."
Inspectors asked teachers to continue to find even more ways for children to develop further their use of
technology.
Jayne Leonard, childcare manager, has been working at Wyvern College Childcare since it opened in 2001.
She said the outstanding result is all down to teamwork.
And added: " I am very proud. We are all over the moon. It's all down to team work. The staff communicate effectively and we will continue on the same tread. Everybody felt very proud and the parents said they are very pleased."
