HE'S the legendary Star Wars actor living in a land far far away.
But it seems Hollywood's Mark Hamill has been keeping an eye on events in Hampshire.
The actor, who played Luke Skywalker in the famous franchise, recently gave his backing to a campaign by Hampshire Fire and Rescue.
The fire service used a picture of Hamill in the 1977 film Star Wars: A New Hope to illustrate its 'I Need My Space' campaign.

The campaign aims to educate drivers on how to react to emergency vehicles on the road.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue took to Twitter with Hamill's picture, accompanied by the words: "A spaceship is parked where?! #Ineedmyspace."
Californian born Mark Hamill, 66, was clearly impressed by the campaign and gave it a 'like' from his official Twitter account – which has more than 2.5 million followers.
And that prompted the fire service to tweet again.
"It's official! Luke Skywalker backs our #INeedMySpace campaign - you'd be Darth not to."

Hampshire Fire and Rescue say the campaign comes as a number of incidents in which motorists hinder emergency service vehicles with erratic driving and poor parking.
According to the service, the problem is "worse than ever before."
