A HAMPSHIRE school has enjoyed a sell-out success with "A Tale as Old as Time".

More than 130 students at Ringwood School were involved in bringing Disney’s Beauty and the Beast to the stage.

The production was a whole-school collaboration. The art department produced all the props and the enchanted objects were made out of Plastazote foam, a first for the school. Even food technology got in on the act - making themed canapés including Mrs Pott’s ginger tea biscuits!

Sixth formers Gina Elward and Abbie Hudson shared the role of Belle and The Beast was played by Nathan Gwynne

Mrs Potts was played by Phoebe Gibson and Beth Driscoll, Lumiere was Jacob Skipper; Cogsworth was played by Craig Newton and Maurice by Nathan Searle.

The six performances were supported by the Ringwood School Arts Foundation (RSAF).
