Saints have netted a club record pre-tax profit of £43.7m.
Accounts for the year ending June 2017 reveal that Saints have benefitted hugely from a massive increase in TV revenue, their Europa League adventure and a run to the EFL Cup final.
The high-profile St Mary’s concert from Robbie Williams also helped, as did significant sponsorship deals with Under Armour and Virgin Media.
That is all set against a backdrop which saw player wages balloon by 29 per cent year-on-year, with the Saints squad raking in a combined £86.6m.

Saints managing director, Toby Steele, said: “We had record revenues which given it was the first year of the new deal with Sky and BT isn’t all that surprising, I think most Premier League clubs will be experiencing the same in the year ending ‘17.
“We benefited from Europa League participation, reaching the EFL Cup final and turned it into a good year from a revenue and profit perspective and we remain a financially stable club.”
